Vocational Studies Visa: (M1, M2) According to the Immigration and Nationality Act, M1 Visas are designed for persons from abroad wanting to study in the United States for the “purpose of pursuing a full course of study at an established vocational or other recognized nonacademic institution (other than in a language training program) in the United States.” M Visas are available for the duration of the vocational program. Eligible M1 Visa Applicants M1 Visas are appropriate for the following persons:
M2 Visas (Accompanying Relatives of M1 Visa Holders) M2 Visas are available for Spouses and Unmarried Children under the age of 21 of M1 Holders. M2 Visa Holders are not permitted to work.
